In Belgaum, MES thugs shouted seditious slogans despite the ban.

The MES leaders organized a mahamelao against the government at the vaccine depot grounds of Tilakwadi in the city.

Belgaum, Nippani, Karwar, Bidar, Bhalki have demanded that united Maharashtra should be formed. They shouted slogans, ``Belagavi is our right - not anyone's father''. Later, the police arrested more than 20 MES workers who tried to break into the vaccine depot.

In order to maintain law and order in the city, section 144 has been implemented around the vaccine depot.

On the other hand, Shiv Sena leaders from Maharashtra, who were about to enter the district border, more than 300 activists tried to enter Belgaum, but the police stopped them and sent them back.
